Who We Are

Fostering Independence is a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to empowering young adults ages 18-24 as they transition into independent living. We provide essential resources, mentorship, and support to help build a stable future.

What We Do

Our program is designed to assist young adults who are working or attending school by offering case management, transportation assistance, mentorship, and basic needs support. We also provide a car savings program to help participants gain financial independence and mobility.

Our services are structured into three progressive phases:

• Foundations – Establishing stability through basic needs support and guidance.

• Fundamentals – Developing life skills, employment readiness, and financial literacy.

• Future – Preparing for long-term success in housing, career, and personal growth.

We collaborate with an extensive network of community partners, businesses and organizations, each utilizing their own resources and funding to come together and create a holistic approach to providing the best possible care for our program participants.
