A place to call home.
a collaborative effort to support aged out foster youth in their transition from foster care to independence.
Hope for a future
Fostering Independence serves young adults ages 18-24 who have aged out of foster care.
Our program offers housing, career and educational support, mentorship and connection to area resources in an effort to create a smooth transition from foster care to independent living.
-
Every aspect of our program is carefully crafted to align with our training in trauma informed care.
-
Purposefully and wholly showing up and making everyone feel seen, heard and valued.
-
They are worth everything we can give. We will go the extra mile every time to make a difference.
23,000 young adults will age out of the foster care system each year. The odds are stacked against them…
